City Launched New Notification Tool
The City is launching a new resident notification tool to provide timely alerts and emergency updates to our residents. The new CivicReady alert system offers residents more control over the type of alerts they are interested in receiving, how they want to receive the messages (email, text, or voicemail message), and their preferred language.
The alert system is tied to your North St. Paul address so City staff can now send geo-targeted messages. Geo-targeted messages will help the City directly notify affected residents and provide detailed information on power outages, watermain breaks, street closures, and other information that specifically affects particular neighborhoods.
In addition to the City notifications, residents can also opt-in to receive emergency weather alerts such as tornados, winter storm warnings, and other weather-related alerts from the National Weather Service.
The City encourages all residents to set up their account online at https://northstpaul.org/alerts and select their preferred notifications including opting in for their Community Policing Area, selecting their garbage delivery day, and any road or utility notifications they want to receive.
Residents can opt-in and opt-out of the alert messaging, but the City of North St. Paul reserves the right to notify residents based on the information provided through your utility accounts for any emergency or public safety messages.
