Welcome to the City of North St. Paul, an extraordinary place to live, work, and play. The City of North St. Paul has served the needs of our residents, businesses, and visitors since 1887 and we look forward to serving you too!

City Hall is located at 2400 Margaret St. and is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This building houses the City Council Chambers, and offices for the City Manager, Community Development, Finance and Utilities as well as the North St. Paul Fire Department and North St. Paul Police Department. The City’s Public Works and Electric Utility operations are located in the Public Works building on North St. Paul Drive.

The City offers several resources and provides 24/7 access to many online functions through its website at northstapul.org. Visit us online to:

City Council

The City of North St. Paul is served by an elected City Council consisting of a mayor and four council members. The City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Commissions & Authorities

There are several opportunities for residents to be involved. The City has the following commissions and authorities staffed by appointed residents to provide the City Council with direction and their recommendations.

Watch Our Meetings

The City broadcasts all City Council and Planning Commission meetings to local cable and streams them to our YouTube channel. You can also watch them from the Zoom link provided in each agenda, or from our meeting page on our website.

Your Safety 

Police, Fire and Emergency Medical 

The City of North St. Paul maintains its own Police Department, Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services. Our first-responders are available 24/7 and only minutes away from most locations in the City. 

Our fire department is comprised of both full-time and paid-on-call firefighters. Residents interested in learning more about this opportunity can learn more at northstpaul.org. Our fire department also works with our residents and businesses on code compliance and other safety concerns in our community.
