The City of North St. Paul is excited to welcome the new Anchor View Apartment project as part of the Anchor Commons development. City staff completed the sale of the remaining property in the former Anchor Block site on January 29, 2021. The property on the north east corner of McKnight Road just off the Gateway Trail, was sold to developers and investors who will construct the Anchor View Apartment Complex. The approximately 3.91 acre plot joins the other development in the area that includes the new storage facility currently under construction and the new Kwik Trip that is scheduled to begin construction early this spring.

Trident Development. LLC announces Anchor View Apartment Homes development, located off of McKnight Road and Highway 36, at 2290 Anchor Drive.  Anchor View Apartments is situated in the larger Anchor Block redevelopment district that includes a new Kwik Trip, indoor storage facility, and a townhome development.

Construction is set to begin on March 1, 2021, with the building ready for occupancy by the summer of 2022.  The project will offer 128 apartment residences. A portion of the apartment homes allows for an affordable element to the local workforce. "So many of our nation's key working families are priced out of the metropolitan areas in which they work due to the lack of quality affordable housing in the area," said Roger Fink, Sr. Vice President of Trident Development. "Anchor View represents the next generation of housing affordability because it has features that will help its residents save money, has access to more ways to get to and from work, and helps to strengthen our economy."

The 4-Story building will feature studio, one-and two-bedroom bedroom layouts. Apartment interiors at the pet-friendly, smoke-free community include in-home washers and dryers, oversized windows complete with window treatments, fully-equipped kitchens with energy-efficient appliances, granite countertops, modern open-concept layouts, walk-in closets, and private patios or balconies. Residents also have access to trash chutes and trash rooms on each floor.

Anchor View’s common areas will host various amenities, including a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, secured entry system, resident community room with TV lounge and complimentary WiFi, a barbeque area, parcel handling system and an outside playground are also featured at the property.
