Aquatic Plant Management Permits
Residents on Casey Lake and Silver Lake can submit Aquatic Plant Management Permits directly with the Minnesota DNR Permitting and Reporting System (MPARS). This web-based system allows you to apply and pay for your permits online. Visit www.mndnr.gov/mpars for more information.
If you have already applied for your 2022 permit, please DO NOT apply again.
Upon receipt of your application, the DNR will ensure that the proposed activity requires a permit, calculate the appropriate fee, and then send you an invoice for the permit fee. You will have the option to pay online with a credit card or electronic transfer from your checking account, or you can mail a check to the St. Paul office at 1200 Warner Road St. Paul, MN 55106.
Through MPARS you can view a previously issued permit that has expired and request that it be renewed for another season. This is an easy and quick way to request exactly what you were permitted for in the past or even request minor changes such as a different treatment dimension.
For the type of work requested select "control aquatic plants, algae, swimmer's itch, leeches and/or bogs".
