The lake has several options for shore anglers. Joy Park, operated by the City of Maplewood at the north end of the lake, contains a fishing pier and additional shore fishing sites.
The City of North St. Paul operates Silver Lake on the south end of the lake. This park also has a fishing pier, a public beach, plus additional shoreline available to anglers.
Silver Lake Park is managed with a partnership between the City of North St. Paul, the City of Maplewood, the Valley Branch Watershed District, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
