April 25, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ North St. Paul City Hall
A great volunteer opportunity for Master Naturalists, Master Gardeners, plant geeks, adults and high school students wanting to make a difference in their local ecosystems. Help stop new invasive plants in their tracks! Early detection will prevent more buckthorn-like takeovers. You will learn:
A. How to use the FREE GLEDN (Great Lakes Early Detection Network) Smartphone App (iOS or Android).
B. Sharpen your plant ID skills with a hands-on plant lab;
C. Practice making a report! Choose a site to monitor throughout the season or be a roving reporter! Bring your smart phone with the GLEDN pre-installed.
Feel free to bring a non-microwavable dinner; we will not have a dinner break.
