Plant a Tree - Closed

Trees Given Away for Arbor Day

Please note: The Forestry Department has reached their tree limit. The Adopt a Tree reservation is now closed. Thank you for your interest in planting a tree. Learn the benefits of trees.

The City is offering a limited number of complimentary trees for adoption to North St. Paul Residents. The trees are 4 to 6 feet tall, in five-gallon pots. Planting instructions will be included with the tree. Trees must be planted in the City of North St. Paul. To adopt a tree (one per household), pre-registration is required. Variety of tree is based on first come-first serve. 

Please note: Picking up your adopted tree at North St. Paul Public Works Facility (2303 North St. Paul Drive on Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 9:00 - 11:00AM) could change. Trees could be delivered. You will be notified a few days prior to May 2, 2020.

 Tree species include: 

  • Autumn Blaze Maple
  • River Birch (clump)
  • Pinnacle Birch (single stem)
  • Eastern Redbud
  • Crab Apple (white flower)
  • Ironwood
  • White Oak
  • Black Hills Spruce
