Home for Hero's Project Delayed

The groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Thursday, June 20 has been delayed.

The BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation will break ground to build transitional housing for Veteran families experiencing homelessness. The groundbreaking located on the vacant lot at 2557 12th Avenue in North St. Paul will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Once constructed, this new residence will provide Veterans and their families with the services and support needed as they transition into independent living.

This Home for Hero's Project is a collaborative partnership with BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, and Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans on a lot donated by the City of North St. Paul.

North St. Paul Veterans Park which was completed in 2015, is adjacent to the vacant lot. The Park features a walk of more than 1,258 engraved pavers, commemorating those who served our country in war and peacetime.

BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation works in partnership with others to provide safe, durable, affordable housing for Minnesota's homeless, veterans and others in need.
