The City will say goodbye to City Manager Craig Waldron. In October Waldron announced his retirement and will be leaving at the end of the year. Waldron was appointed Interim Manager by the City Council in October of 2017. Shortly after, Council extended his contract to stay on as manager for a short-term basis. The former City Manager Jason Ziemer had resigned in September of 2017.
After being on-board for one and a half years, Waldron felt the time was right for a transition. “I have really enjoyed my time with the City. Economic Development is going strong. We are ready for a North St. Paul renaissance,” said Waldron.
Waldron stated he plans on spending more time with family, and plans to stay on as Adjunct Professor at Hamline University.
